Appropriate opportunities will be shared monthly with those of our registered members who subscribe to our Jobs Newsletter. The Jobs Newsletter goes out at the end of each month. Be sure to get your posting in before the 25th of each month!

Instructions:

1. After completing the payment, email the details about the opportunity to info@indigenouseditorsassociation.ca.

2. In the subject line, please write: YOUR ORDER NUMBER—JOB POSTING ADVERTISEMENT.

3. In the body of the email please include the following:

Contact information: Name, email address, and organization (if applicable)
Information about the opportunity: The job or position title, editing services required, project or role description, terms of pay, deadline, and application requirements.
Confirmation that you've read and agree to the IEA's Terms of Use (detailed below).

Terms of Use

1. The Indigenous Editors Association (IEA) Jobs Newsletter is provided as a job posting service to those of our members who subscribe to the Newsletter. The IEA does not facilitate correspondence between our members and employers beyond the Jobs Newsletter. Employers are responsible for including all relevant information in the job posting. All hiring is handled directly between the job applicant and the employer.
2. The IEA makes no recommendations regarding potential employers or employees.
(a) The IEA does not provide referrals, screen applicants for qualifications or work authorization, or guarantee the validity of any job vacancy submitted to the Newsletter.
(b) The IEA is not responsible for, and makes no representations regarding, the safety, wages, working conditions, working environment, skills, work ethic, taxes, personal injury, or any aspect of employment arising out of or connected with the Jobs Newsletter, for either the employer or the employee.
3. The IEA reserves the right to review all Jobs Newsletter postings. We reserve the right to refuse a posting at our discretion. Employers will receive a refund if a job posting is refused.
4. The IEA does not guarantee a job placement for anyone using the Jobs Newsletter, nor does the IEA guarantee that an employer will fill a vacancy by using the Jobs Newsletter.

5. Any employer who posts a job opening and uses a logo, trademark, slogan, or copyright protected material warrants and represents that the employer has full authority and permission to use such logo, trademark and/or copyright protected material, both in connection with the Jobs Newsletter and otherwise, and expressly agrees to allow the IEA to use it in connection with the Jobs Newsletter and promoting the job opening.
6. All users of the Jobs Newsletter represent and agree that they will indemnify the IEA against any and all liabilities, costs and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, relative to any claim made against the IEA by any person or entity that is related in any way or arising out of use of the IEA Jobs Newsletter.
7. The IEA is not liable for any damages whatsoever resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Jobs Newsletter and material, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
8. The IEA reserves the right to change the terms of use of the Jobs Newsletter at any time.
9. By using the IEA Jobs Newsletter, employers and job seekers agree to use the newsletter for its intended purpose and to refrain from using language, either in job postings or in replies or applications, that is untruthful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or embarrassing to another user or any other person or entity.

About the Association

The Indigenous Editors Association is a membership organization that was formed by Indigenous editors and publishing professionals in lands claimed by Canada as a mutual support network. We are here to carry out the vision of our early organizers and to create professional development and networking opportunities.
