Editorial work can be perplexing to those unfamiliar. How do you take steps in establishing and building on your professional practice? How do you determine your rates and set deadlines? Where can you find mentorship among colleagues? Join IEA members Jazz Cook (moderator), Lisa Frenette, and Nadine Ryan in a roundtable discussion for emerging Indigenous editors. This roundtable will be an opportunity to provide insight from emerging and established professionals and make space for sharing questions, experiences, frustrations, and solutions around topics of interest to emerging Indigenous editors. Attendees are invited to participate directly in this roundtable discussion; enrolment is limited and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • IEA Members: Registration is FREE and opens on March 30. Please visit Become a Member for information on joining the IEA!
  • SFU students: Registration is free and opens on April 13. Contact us for details and registration code.
  • Public registration is $10 and opens on April 20

About the Association

The Indigenous Editors Association is a membership organization that was formed by Indigenous editors and publishing professionals in lands claimed by Canada as a mutual support network. We are here to carry out the vision of our early organizers and to create professional development and networking opportunities.
