At this event editorial staff from ACP member publishing firms will be matched with registrants to make introductions and connections in one-on-one meetings on Zoom. You will be scheduled for 3 or more meetings of 15 minutes each with publishing professionals. This will give you the chance to meet publisher representatives who are responsible for hiring freelance editors and who work most closely with those freelancers. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the publishing process, hiring processes, what publishers are looking for in potential editors, tips for preparing applications, and any other questions you may have for these representatives. 

This is not a job interview, but rather a chance to make connections, ask questions, and learn more about publishing firms. Each conversation will likely progress naturally, but participants should be prepared to both introduce themselves and what they do and ask and answer questions in these meetings.
